In this video I get to the heart of the paper  and show how the genre of Genesis account of creation is best understood as an ANE Temple Text and used used for a polemical purpose to glorify and exalt YHWH as the only true God and Creator.

A Historical-Grammatical and Polemical Reading of Genesis 1 - Egyptian Context

I continue my paper dealing with a more robust historical understanding of Genesis 1 and explore why an Egyptian context is the most probable view given the various features of numerous texts and how this supports the polemical theology we observe in Genesis 1 and the rest of the Pentateuch.
