It seems simple enough to see Humanity as One New Person (Ephesians 2:14-15) that was born at Pentecost and is now just over 2,000+ years young. Then we see that we are already born of God to begin with. It is not a human decision (John 1:13) and Jesus NEVER taught that anyone must be born from above in order to be saved eternally. He spoke with a Pharisee in secret at night (In Future Tense). It is recorded in one gospel out of 4 and only in 1 Epistle (Past Tense). If being born of God was a decision we not only could make, but are required to make, then why was this not taught to all? Big Red flag for making a doctrine out of a single account of Jesus explaining to Nicodemus what He, Himself must do in order for us to be born as He was, "of the flesh and of the Spirit" in a single birth.
ReplyDeleteI see that Adam was Born Anew in Christ... the Last Adam. We are in Christ, not the first Adam. Romans 5:18 (the whole chapter actually) explains this.
I failed to mention that I see in this manner and do not expect anyone to agree with me. It is what I have seen and I can't unsee this. Neither do I hold it over anyone.
